This year was the first year I attended the Toronto Interior design show on Friday at the metro convention center. Although I never attended IDS in previous years I keep up with them on social media, I found that the show wasn't very exciting this year,I seen a lot more exciting works in the previous year. I found the experience to be interesting, going through the experience of meeting and talking to artist/craftsmen about their work and story as an artist.
At the makers booth I really enjoyed seeing Karben woods work they are a new small batch company. They showed their first collection of work a chair and a bench, I found it an interesting merge; the wishbone like back leg with a traditional Windsor chair form.

Another piece I found interesting was " Fuwa Fuwa" by Edward wooHyun, he made a console and side table, his piece interested me because of the choice of material and how nicely it paired together; White oak and corrugated plastic.

Question:
I didn't notice any furniture maker that did curved furniture. why is that?
I would like to see more work that is unique and outside the box most of the piece were very similar.
