The work of Ernest Wong reflects a deep reverence for woodworking, materiality, and form. Inspired by nature, Wong seeks to create objects that foster a meaningful connection between individuals and their surroundings. His work captures the emotional resonance of natural landscapes—evoking memory, excitement, and serenity—within interior spaces. Employing a range of traditional woodworking techniques, refined joinery, and material exploration, he challenges the boundaries of conventional craft. A graduate of Sheridan College’s Craft and Design program, Wong continues to refine his expertise while pushing the possibilities of contemporary woodworking and design.
